Aerion's engineering development has reached the point where the technical issues are comparable to any large business development program and is currently seeking a qualified manufacturer to assume leadership in integration, certification and production of the world's first supersonic business jet. Aerion's business case is uniquely attractive for the lead manufacturers as well as the risk-sharing suppliers.
Aerion's investors and other potential partners are prepared to participate in the financing of the project.
The forward thinking manufacturer will be first in the market and will launch the start of a whole family of aviation products that will revolutionize business travel. A further benefit is that the launch of the Aerion jet near the end of 2008 will enable the manufacturer to capture sales during the current strong market without taxing stretched manufacturing resources. After 2012 as preparation for Aerion production begins to ramp this sales backlog will serve to level production of the manufacturer's overall product line.
